Teresa Leitão is a senior risk executive with deep expertise in financial‑market infrastructures and digital‑asset innovation. She is the Chief Risk Officer at Fnality, whose Sterling Fnality Payment System is the first regulated wholesale DLT‑based payment system enabling on-chain settlement fully backed by funds held at a central bank. With over 20 years experience in finance, she previously held leadership roles at the London Stock Exchange Group, including Head of Market Risk at LCH Ltd and CRO at SwapAgent. She holds a PhD in Statistics from the London School of Economics.
