Mihaela Breg has more than 19 years of experience spanning across retail, commercial, private, corporate and investment banking. Mihaela has a track record of operating in highly complex and regulated environments at a global level (in the Eurozone, the UK and the US). Over the years, Mihaela was involved in leading the successful delivery of various oversight and change programmes leading up to the current role as Head of Operational Resilience & Business Transformation for Europe Arab Bank in London (part of the Arab Bank Group). This role leads also the oversight activities of third party and intra-group outsourcing engagements for the organisation. Being a proactive leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, in the past she combined her corporate skills with FinTech experience in the start-up environment. Mihaela became a co-author of The PayTech Book published in January 2020 (the first globally crowd-sourced book focused on the future of finance and payments revolution) and a contributor for The AI Book published in May 2020 (the first globally crowd-sourced book on the application of AI across financial services).
