Following a variety of transformation roles in multiple industries Alia joined HSBC in 2013. She has held a number of senior leadership roles in Financial Crime risk, including CDD. She started to work on Sustainability Risk initiatives in 2022 and has brought her rich experience of risk and control management into this evolving space, leading the design and implementation of critical controls in support of sustainability policies. Alia is also an active advocate for disability, neurodiversity and mental health.
